Autonomechs at CBIRF

Autonomechs worked with CRASAR (the Center for Robot Assisted Search and Rescue) to develop a medical payload for robotics in the area of search and rescue.  The medical payload was tested by the U.S. Navy and CBIRF-AT (Chemical Biological Incident Response Force Anti-Terrorism) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in August.  The medical payload now consists of a Co2 sensor for monitoring exhaled respiration, a reflective IR spo2 and pulse sensor, and a FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) Camera.  The package was tested and worked with the trapped victims as well as on the responders wearing protective equipment.

CRASAR was the coordinating group at the World Trade Center for robotic search and rescue.

While on location, Autonomechs participated in the initial phases of the responder training course.

Collaborative partners in this project included CRASAR, U.S. Navy, Spawar, Ideations LLC, and MindTel.
